In memory of Ruth Miller Patterson Armstrong

She died at the CISSS Gaspe at the age of 91 years and 11 months surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Wakeham to David Miller and Jean Annett, she was raised by her aunt Ella and uncle Watson after her mother's early death.
Ruth married Sidney Patterson and raised five children. In later years after the passing of Sidney, she moved to Ontario, became a nurse and worked there until retirement. She met and married Tom Armstrong in that period and they travelled extensively. Ruth lived a long and interesting life and eventually returned to her beloved Gaspe.
She leaves to mourn her children Gregory (Mariette), Susie (Scott), Frederick (Judy), Gerry (Shoko), siblings, Elsie Bobbette, Francis Miller, Edgar Miller, and Brenda Miller. Also her step-sons Dave Armstrong and Rob Armstrong and son-in-law Gary Laminger, eight grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Predeceased by husbands Sidney and Tom, and her daughter Lois,
Her funeral will be held August 2, 2023 at St. James Church in Wakeham.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Santé Côte-de-Gaspé Foundation or Gaspé Cancer Society.
Professional services have been entrusted to the Valère Fortin Funeral Home, a subsidiary of the HG Division network certified Distinction by the Corporation des thanatologues du Quebec and by the Bureau de normalisation du Québec.
